It’s sending great content... but then directing their audience in a million different directions: links to listings, market reports, their website, social media, etc. It’s like sending your leads on a wild goose chase.
Here’s the reality: if you’re scattering your traffic to a gazillion places, you’re not converting it into money. Do you feel me?
Let’s break this down. If you want your newsletter to drive results, it needs to be laser-focused. Like I’m doing with you today—your goal should be to highlight a pain point (like changes in market conditions, a hot trend in a neighborhood, or strategies for selling during the winter months).
Then—direct them to one, and only one, place to take action.
Example: Imagine running a newsletter highlighting a drop in listing supply in the GTA, targeting homeowners who are considering listing their homes.
Call to Action: “Reply ‘Help’ to this email if you want to discuss listing your home before the market shifts.”
Simple, but I promise you effective.
See what we did there? One message, one point, and one clear CTA. When you keep it simple, you drive action. Every additional link, distraction, or call to “check out my socials” dilutes your impact.
